Last-minute announcement about two special tour offerings February 13th & 14th
Interestingly enough, on back-to-back days, we’ll be offering one tour focused on capturing snowy landscapes and another focused on spring blooms π
Winter Snow Tour Monday, February 13th
The forecast looks promising for some snow at the highest elevations on Sunday the 12th. The tour we will be offering will be a sunrise tour at Roan Mountain on the morning of Monday the 13th. We will be departing from Asheville at 4:30 in the morning! π΄
Anyone considering joining this tour should be adequately prepared for brutally cold temperatures and windy conditions, and able to hike up to two miles up and down a mountain. You need to be able to withstand 10ΒΊ temperatures for up to an hour and a half. It’s always tough conditions up there but boy is it gorgeous!
The tour will conclude by returning to Asheville at approximately 10am. This tour is subject to cancellation if the weather doesn’t provide us with any snow, but that is unlikely. In the event of cancellation, you will be refunded in full.

Spring Daffodil Flats Mini-workshop February 14th
Come spend the morning of Valentine’s Day with WNC Photo Tours! We’ll be taking a sunrise hike down to the Daffodil Flats in Linville Gorge for a mini-workshop aimed at helping you get the best possible photos of this special location. The hike down to this spot is as steep as it gets, folks. Participants should be in good physical shape. We can’t emphasize enough how steep this hike is. It’s only about 3 miles round trip but the trail drops 1500 feet in one mile. If it were any steeper, it would require a rope. This is not for inexperienced hikers.
This tour will depart from Asheville at 4:20am on the morning of February 14th and return at approximately 1pm. We will cover many techniques to help improve your photography.
