Astrophotography Photo Tours
Have you ever seen the Milky Way with your own, bare eyes? These workshop-style astrophotography tours take you to places near Asheville where the stars are the brightest!
Ever wanted to learn to photograph the night sky?! This tour takes you to beautiful areas in the mountains of Western North Carolina where the sky is the darkest at night and the stars are the brightest! These tours are a safe way to learn more about long exposures, locations, and the best times to photograph the night sky. We’ll show you a couple of tricks for photographing the Milky Way galaxy. It would be hard for us to exaggerate the incredible feeling you get when you capture one of these photos on your own camera for the first time! We may even see a few shooting stars 🙂

These tours only run during the summer. At the height of summer, we may be out as late as 1 a.m. Given the cloudy nature of Western North Carolina, these tours are only offered a few days in advance based on the forecast, on or near a new moon. For this reason, we do not allow bookings in advance. For this same reason, this tour is not private – so we can offer the small windows of opportunity to as many people as possible. The tour size is capped at 3 participants.
